Our Story

Hi, I'm Richard, the face behind Luxe Photo Lounge.

I've always had a passion for photography, especially fashion and portrait photography. There's something special about capturing genuine expressions, real emotions, and those moments that tell a story without saying a word. Over the years, that passion grew into a desire to create experiences where people could let loose, have fun, and walk away with memories they could hold onto forever.

That's how Luxe Photo Lounge was born.

I wanted to create more than just a photo booth event service. I wanted to create a space where guests could laugh a little louder, smile a little bigger, and make memories they'll talk about long after the event is over. Whether it's a wedding, corporate event, birthday party, or celebration of any kind, my goal is to help people connect, have fun, and capture the moments that matter most.

One thing you'll quickly learn about me is that I've called a lot of places home. I was raised in Hawaii, spent time in San Francisco and Los Angeles, and then spent nearly half my life in San Diego before eventually making my way to Washington. Every place has left its mark on me and helped shape the creativity, hospitality, and laid-back approach I bring to every event.

And here's a fun fact: I'm a proud fur dad. I had two amazing puggles who were by my side through many of life's adventures. While they're no longer with me, they taught me a lot about loyalty, joy, and appreciating the little moments—something I try to carry into both my personal life and my business.

At Luxe Photo Lounge, I believe the best photos aren't always the perfectly posed ones. They're the spontaneous laughs, the happy tears, the goofy faces, and the unforgettable moments shared with family, friends, and loved ones.
